What We Believe

The Scriptures

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. We believe that the inspired Word of God is final authority, and is our infallible guide in matters pertaining life, conduct, godliness and doctrine. (2 Tim. 3:16, 1 Thess. 2:13. 2 Peter 1:21)

God

We believe that God is one, manifested in three distinct, co-equal persons -- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Phil. 2:6, John 14:28, John 16:28, John 1:14, John 1:1, John 1:18, John 1:14, John 15:26).

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and the eternal Son of God. We believe in the virgin birth and that Jesus took upon Himself the form of man and became God in the flesh. Jesus is fully man and fully God. He lived a sinless life and was crucified for the sins of the world and is the only way to The Father. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, He was raised to life and now sits at the right hand of The Father (John 1:1, 14; Luke 24:38-43; John 20:24- 29; Ephesians 1:3-5; Romans 5:1-11; Acts 12:4; I Peter 1:18-19)

The Holy Spirit

We Believe in the power, presence and moving of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent in power on the day of Pentecost and His ministry is to convict the world of sin and to reveal the person of Jesus Christ to all mankind. We believe that the Holy Spirit proceeds from The Father. We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are for all believers, as He wills, and are to be desired for building up of the Church. (John 15:26; John 16:8; John 15:26; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 12:4-7; Ephesians 14:1,12)

Man

We believe that man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world. "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Rom. 5:14; Rom. 3:10; Rom 3:23; 1 John 3:8).

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the law, and is supplied by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. Salvation is necessary to all mankind and is made available only through the finished work of Jesus Christ at the Cross, and when experienced, produces eternal life. We believe that Heaven is real and that is the eternal destination for all who come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ to spend eternity with our Lord (2 Cor. 7:10, 1 John 5:12; John 3:3-5; Eph. 2:8).

The Second Coming

We believe in the visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to this Earth to judge the world and to receive all those who believe in Him. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 1:7)

Satan and Judgement

We believe that Satan is a fallen angel, known as Lucifer and is the "god of this world". His kingdom, the kingdom of darkness, is opposed to the Kingdom of God, and works to steal, kill and destroy. While his activity is real, Satan, his kingdom, and the world were defeated and overthrown by Christ's victory at the Cross and no longer have any power over those who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that Hell is a real place that was created for Satan and his angels, but also awaits those who do not recognize Jesus as Lord. (Matthew 25:41; Luke 10:17-20; John 10:10; John 16:33; Colossians 2:13-15; Ephesians 6:10-18)

The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ on earth today. It consists of born- again believers, not a building. We believe in the call to BE the church, to live lives of believers in Jesus Christ, being witnesses of Him wherever we go. (Matthew 16:18; Acts 20:28)

Ordinances

We believe in the baptisms as described in the Word of God: baptism into the Body of Christ, the baptism of the Spirit and the baptism by water. We believe in the power of Communion, the Lord’s Supper, and celebrate it weekly. We believe in Biblical marriage. We believe that all these are ordinances of the Church are defined by Scripture. (Galatians 3:27; Romans 6:3; Matt. 3:11; Mark 1:8; John 14:16,17; Acts 1:5; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38,39; Acts 19:1-7)

Healing

We believe that healing is for the physical body and is produced by the power of God through the prayer of faith, by the laying on of hands and through the work of doctors and the medical field. All sickness and disease is under the curse and however healing comes, all Glory belongs to God. Healing is provided for in the finished work of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Church today (Mark 16:18; James 5:14,15; 1 Peter 2:24; Matt. 8:17; Isa. 53:4,5; Deuteronomy 28:61; Galatians 3:13).
